About Us
Over the years, our clinic has embraced the latest advancements in dermatology and dermatopathology services, including state-of-the-art equipment, specialized software, and highly skilled staff. With the opening of our full-service histopathology lab since 2018, we now provide tissue processing, slide preparation and diagnostic interpretations. In addition to routine and stat service for H & E and special stains. We provide results within 5 days for most biopsies, offer scheduled and stat courier service in the Gujarat.

Dermatopathology
- Dermatopathology is a super speciality service which involves examination of skin biopsy specimen under a microscope for making a precise diagnosis.
- Skin biopsy is essential for early detection, confirmation, staging of disease and effective treatment of necessary skin conditions.
- Early diagnosis leads to better outcomes, while delays can result in prolonged treatment, aggravated disease condition, higher morbidity, worse quality of life and higher costs of medication and treatment.
- It helps diagnose difficult to treat conditions like skin infections, cancers, allergies, and rare skin disorders.
- Advanced technology and strict quality control ensure that our results are precise, reliable and rapid.
Skin Biopsy Procedure
- The dermatologist/clinician evaluates the skin condition in detail and will determine if a biopsy is required after proper skin examination.
- After, selection of the proper site of the lesion to biopsy, the area is marked and prepared for biopsy.
- After sterilization of the site using spirit and betadine; An injection of Local anaesthesia is administered to numb the area before taking the biopsy specimen of desired size.
- A small sample of skin using a biopsy punch is extracted using a plain forceps, scalpel and a biopsy punch.
- After which, haemostasis is achieved, the area is cleaned and bandaged under sterile precautions, with aftercare instructions provided to the patient.
- The skin sample is sent to a histopathology laboratory for processing and slide preparation.
- Then it is sent to a dermatopathologist for microscopic analysis.
- A comprehensive report is generated to assist in diagnosing and planning the appropriate treatment.

- Cutaneous/Mucosal Tumours: Specializing in the diagnosis of epidermal, epithelial, melanocytic, adnexal tumours, and lymphoma.
- Hair Disorders and Alopecia Evaluation: Comprehensive assessments using advanced techniques like Trichoscan and transverse sectioning, recognized as the gold standard for alopecia diagnosis.
- Nail Disorders: We have developed a niche in processing and reporting of Nail biopsies, to identify various fungal and immunological disorders.
Tests Available:
- Skin/ Hair/ Nail/ Mucosal Biopsy: Routine histopathology with special stains, crucial for evaluating inflammatory, infectious, granulomatous, and collagen vascular diseases. Special stains like PAS, Acid Fast Bacilli and Fite Faraco are included at no additional cost.
- Excision Biopsy for Tumor Margins: Following a standardized protocol to assess the entire inked margins of excised tumors.
- Tzanck and Slit Smear: Offering rapid evaluation for blistering disorders.
- Block and Slide Review: Thorough review of biopsy specimens to ensure accurate diagnosis.
